National Honor Society
Parents and Guardians:
We are pleased to share an update about the National Honor Society (NHS) at North Atlanta High School. To ensure our program continues to reflect the highest standards of excellence, we are refining our selection process and eligibility criteria. As part of this update, the induction ceremony has been rescheduled for next semester.
Moving forward, the updated requirements for NHS membership are as follows:
• Students must be juniors or seniors with a minimum unweighted GPA of 93 after the end of the first semester. Once grades are finalized in January, students may consult their counselor if they are unsure of their GPA.
• Students should maintain strong attendance with no excessive absences or class cuts.
• Students must have a positive discipline record with no major referrals during the school year (major referrals include those resulting in out-of-school suspension).
• Students must have been enrolled at NAHS for at least one full year.
• Students must have completed their MYP project.
• Students who meet all eligibility requirements will receive an NHS application via their APS email by the end of January 2026.
We appreciate your continued support as we strengthen our process to recognize the outstanding scholarship, leadership, service, and character of our students. Additional details regarding the induction ceremony will be shared next semester.
